Brand Design Manager

Overview
The company is looking for a Brand Design Manager to help shape a new product experience from the ground up. This is a concept-first product design role focused on inventing what the product does, how it feels, and why it matters in users’ lives. The role requires original thinking, fast prototyping, strong product instincts, and the ability to turn AI and technical capabilities into meaningful, emotionally engaging product experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design the product experience itself, not only the user interface.
- Invent product functions, mechanics, moments, and interaction patterns from a blank page.
- Turn AI and technical capabilities into meaningful user-facing product features.
- Create product concepts that can improve a user’s outlook, perspective, productivity, or daily experience.
- Bring original ideas, new mechanics, and concepts that do not already exist.
- Build and ship working concepts quickly.
- Prototype, test, learn, and iterate fast.
- Maintain a high bar for originality and product uniqueness.
- Reject obvious, derivative, or good-enough ideas when stronger concepts are possible.
- Work directly with product, engineering, and founders.
- Take product concepts from idea to real product implementation.
- Help define how a new AI product should work, feel, and create value for users.
Requirements
- Strong concept-first product design mindset.
- Ability to design what a product does and how it feels, not only how it looks.
- Experience inventing product experiences rather than only executing predefined specifications.
- Portfolio or body of work showing original concepts, prototypes, and product ideas.
- Strong sense of what makes a product unique, meaningful, and memorable.
- Ability to turn raw technical or AI capabilities into useful product functions.
- Bias for speed and rapid experimentation.
- Ability to ship working concepts quickly and learn from them.
- Comfortable working from a blank page without predefined patterns or specifications.
- Hands-on and self-directed working style.
- Strong product taste and creative judgment.
- Experience with AI, conversational, or emotionally engaging products is a plus.
- Experience taking a product concept from zero to something people used and loved is a plus.
- Ability to prototype using tools such as Figma, motion tools, code, paper, Keynote, or any fast concepting method.
- Experience using AI tools to explore ideas and move faster is a plus.
